A layer of gel across the top gives an additional level of relief to the Cite X Gel. It was designed for recreational riders who spend a half-day on the bike or less, ride nearly upright with lots of weight against the saddle, prefer the closest thing to a pillow or have significant lower back pain. A completely seamless, heavily contoured top with a large cutaway will hit and miss in all the right places. Shock-absorbing elastomers molded into the saddle base create the effect of springs without any mechanical devices. They also help eliminate vibrations from the road or surface that ordinarily get transferred straight to the spine. The Spyre SLC is a mechanical disc brake that offers superior performance with incredibly easy setup. This is a dual-piston-actuated mechanical disc brake caliper that provides precise clamping force. This translates into even pad and rotor wear, because the rotor does not need to flex to one side during braking. We added a simple cable barrel adjuster to make fine tuning easy. All of this in an incredibly thin 40mm, 146g package that works with any drop bar levers on the market. Rotors and adapters are sold separately. For tandem bikes, we recommend the Spyre caliper paired with our 2.3mm thick rotors. This will give optimum stopping performance for you and your partner. Our most performance-oriented saddle, the Belcarra V 1.0 is part of our V-Concept saddle program which was developed for the more flexible rider, particularly in the pelvis and lumbar spine, who tend to ride a more aggressive aero position. Their shape on the bike is similar to a V, hence the name. These riders sit towards the front of the saddle supported by their pubic rami.
